Finney Corporation is a family business based in Birmingham, AL.  We buy, sell, and trade heavy construction equipment of all types and brands.  We also offer a wide variety of machinery repair parts: new, used, and rebuilt for all makes and models.

Finney Corporation was founded in 1985 by Reuben and Mary Finney.  Reuben worked for Thompson Tractor Co. (Alabama's Cat Dealer) for 17 years before leaving the company.  In the early 1980s, Reuben served as the Director of the Alabama Development Office, working to attract industry to our state.  Then in 1985, Finney Corporation was born.  We recognize that the cost of new equipment makes it tough for most operators to make ends meet and therefore offer used machinery, which is dramatically less expensive than new equipment and, in many cases, much cheaper to own, repair, and operate.  For many years we have developed a reputation for selling quality used construction equipment and attachments.  We do all of our own repair work, engine rebuilds, and refurbishing to ensure quality and to get to know each machine first hand.  Each machine is thoroughly tested and inspected to make sure our customers receive a machine that is durable and ready to work.  We pride ourselves on providing each customer with a good value on dependable equipment.

In 1997, Hal Finney (Reuben and Mary's son) joined the company.  After working for First Union Corporation for 9 years, Hal and his wife, Abby, moved to Birmingham and began life in the equipment business.

In 2000, Finney Corporation began our new and used Parts Division.  Having developed good relationships with a variety of equipment and parts vendors all over the world, it only made sense that we offer this expertise to our customers as well.  We currently field calls from all over the world for the best new and used heavy equipment parts.  There's really no limit to the parts we can offer: new OEM, aftermarket, used, and rebuilt.  Many parts we offer are discontinued, hard to find, or are just cheaper alternatives to what most dealers carry.  We offer fast turnaround, discounted freight (UPS and truck freight as well as global carriers) to all destinations - wherever machines need repair!  Our objective is to provide you with quality parts that save you money.

Our equipment yard is located in Birmingham, AL on US Highway 79.  We are 5 miles from Birmingham International Airport and have pickup and delivery available for private and commercial airline visitors.  We are open Monday through Friday 7:30am to 5:30pm Central Time.  Other hours are by appointment only.
